Paint programs for Mac

Today's post is from guest blogger Steve South. (To read this on his blog, click here: http://www.cgiworlds.com/kunena/wip/11-2d-sketches-paintings-prep-work) Enjoy!

A friend of mine over on Propsummit.com  ( http://propsummit.com/viewtopic.php?p=59756#59756 )  is looking for a good alternative to MS Paint but for the Mac. So I thought I would look around for him. Please note that I'm not a Mac user, so anything you see listed here is purely an exercise of my Google skills not a rousing endorsement of the listed applications. Let the downloader beware!

The only variable I added to his request was that it needed to be at least free to download and use, so without any further ado my extremely short list:

Paintbrush ( http://paintbrush.sourceforge.net/ )

Seashore ( http://seashore.sourceforge.net/The_Seashore_Project/About.html )

Rita ( http://www.frykholm.se/rita.html ) - Shareware but free to download and use - Please pay for it if you use it.

And of course the over the top with an extremely steep learning curve GIMP ( http://www.gimp.org/ )

I hope this helps! ~ Steve
